So, those of you who have delivered now (or in the past), was there any particular thing you did to move things along?

I didn't do anything special with my first two, but with Sophie's birth (on May 1st), I got adventurous and took two one ounce doses of castor oil (one am and one in the afternoon), drank a large cup of coffee, and used accupressure pts. for labor. It worked--she was born that night at 7:30. Of course, I was only one day before my due date, so she must have been ready anyway or the castor oil/accupressure combo probably wouldn't have worked. (Side note: I was getting antsy because, living in a small AK town, I was sitting in a hotel for two weeks to be near the next town's hospital. Big expense, plus I have two little boys, and long hotel stays are not fun with a 4 and 2 year old...

What, if anything, worked for you?

With DD1 I did nothing at all. With DD2 I took EPO from 37wk, walked miles a day, and coerced DH into daily nookie starting at 39wks. This time I'm either 38+6 or 39+6, depending who you ask...I've been EPO-ing since about 36.5wks, walking miles/exercising, and forcing DH to DTD at least daily for the last few days.

I'm noticing I am getting antsier each pregnancy. DH doesn't seems to mind though, lol.

I would consider other things once I get past 41w and some odd days, to avoid an induction battle at my Dr's office.

On advice of the birth center I did the castor oil thing with DS2. My water had broken and labor was to pick up. I hated it though and would NEVER go through that again. I think I'm definitely antsier this time though. I would consider doing something maybe in another week, but maybe I should keep my mouth shut and not jinx myself.
