Hi,
I've just finished a flat soaker that is seamed up on both sides but I'm not sure how to do the leg cuffs. I tried picking up stitches with circular needles but it didn't work. Do I need to use DPN's.? Can you share with me how you do it? Thanks
you can do it on two circulars, as well. Just pick up half of the stitches with each circ and then knit back and forth on them, switching between them and bringing the yarn over to the new side each time.

I guess I'll try DPN's because I just don't understand the magic loop thing right now. I've never used DPN's but it would be nice to know so I guess I'll go buy some. Thanks

You'll do fine with DPNs...they aren't as bad as they look. I use 12" circs to do legs on longies. But I use DPN for smaller things, too.
