Talking about diapers here

I am going to buy some used PF's from a lady on craigs list today. should i strip them to get rid of any soap/nasties that they may have on them? if so....

how do i strip them...what to use, what to look for, how many times.....and how often should I do it after this first time.

also, when do i know that a diaper is done? no longer usable? i know that they last a long time, but is there something to look for (i dont know how long she has had/used these diapers) or is it just when you use them and they dont absorb anymore?

oh...and what is wicking, and why is it bad?

Thanks!

Hi Janna,
I would definately strip them. I just put in a hot wash no detergent and see if I see suds. I wash until no more suds. Some people use dawn, vinegar too. If there are any stains put them in the sun wet and see if they come out.
As far as if they are still good I would think until they fall apart.
