I have decided to use Bumkins AIO's for the diaper bag because I really like the large ones I am using for ds. I'm getting ready for the new baby, and was wondering about the size small Bumkins. They say 6-12 lb, and then medium is 12-22 lb. I tend to have large babies- the biggest was 10 lb 12 oz. All indications are that this baby won't be tiny, assuming he/she comes on time and not early. So, I was wondering if I should just forget about small Bumkins AIO's and just stick with having the mediums. I figure if the mediums are too big at first we can just deal (I mainly wanted them for doctor visits and the diaper bag).

But if they run big, then I might get some smalls afterall. So I'd like to know what everyone's experience is with these. Thanks!

My son started wearing the medium Bumkins at two months, when he was 14 lbs. They were too big for him at 12lbs. He was able to wear them for nine months, until he got to about 23-24 lbs. I think it might be worth it to get a few in the small size.

My son is 5 months old and weighs 13 lbs...granted, he's small and slender (although he's long) but I got a size medium because it said a M started at 12 lbs and my son was about 12.5 lbs when I ordered them....it was enormous on him though! We held onto it because I figure he will grow into it soon...but right now, it doesn't fit, so I can't imagine a NB baby fitting into that size, even if you have a large baby....I would get a size small since in my opinion, they run large...you can probably get away with a size small for quite some time.
