I had a whole slew of obvious pregnancy symptoms around what could have been implantation: metal mouth for a day, itchiness for a day, sensitive nipples that got worse as the day went on, bloating for two or three days, and most importantly, menstrual-like cramping on-and-off for two or three days. But today, 10 dpo, my symptoms seem a lot less. I'm wondering if it's normal to wake up feeling pretty normal and as the day wears on, the symptoms pick up?

Also, I'm breastfeeding my 20 month old and I can definitely feel the cramping during that, as well. I haven't felt that since immediately after birth. Is that a sign of pregnancy or just of increased progesterone? I'm confused. The cramps have been coming independant of BF'ing, but today they started during nursing.

I feel a whole lot more "normal" yesterday and today than I did when I thought I might be experiencing implantation, that's all. With my first pg, I didn't expect to be pg so I never paid attention! Still gassy a bit, though

ETA: my breasts aren't as full anymore (nursing, though... hard to tell), but my cervix is higher today than the past few days - I can't even feel the os, just the edge of it.

I'm feeling similar.
My nausea has subsided but I think that was due to the tea I was drinking so I cut that out and have been feeling much better since.
I was experiencing cramping for three or four days and that seems to have diminished significantly the past day or so. I am also still feeling bloated and gassy but I have IBS so it's hard to say for sure.
I had a major urge to get some house work done yesterday. When I say major urge, I mean that I scrubbed two bathrooms from top to bottom, did all the hardwood floors downstairs, put a new trash can in, and did about 6 loads of laundry. All this was within a four hour period. This usually occurs a day or two before af arrives. I'm expecting her to arrive Sunday. Although, my temps have stayed high.

I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic.

Yeah, I've had af-like cramping that's come and gone for the past couple days - it's very subtle, though, not the usual "oh this is definitely menstrual" type, so I dk. Yesterday I didn't feel anything at all, and this is after a couple days of cramping, feeling bloated/full, having metal mouth, etc. This morning the cramps are back, very slight, but there..I think, or maybe I'm just constipated.

When you think about it, during your pregnancy, symptoms DO come and go. I mean I had morning sickness pretty bad the first trimester, but certainly not every day. I don't remember my boobs ever being sore at all - but I had breast reduction surgery 6 years ago, so maybe that's why?

I'm also one who didn't know I was preg with the first one until 7 weeks, so I wasn't paying any attention at all to the early symptoms. I don't remember having any indication at all, until the day I started throwing up!

Yeah I don't get it! I NEVER EVER feel anything between O and AF. So this cycle I'm very curious. Everything lined up perfectly. The symptoms, the timing - everything. Then yesterday, I started to wonder. And this morning I woke up and really started to wonder!

You're right about sx coming and going during pg... some days I felt great other days I didn't want to get out of bed!

I'm figuring if I am indeed pregnant, all that discomfort was the egg burrowing in. Maybe if it got in successfully, there's no more burrowing going on and instead it's working on cranking out the hcg... maybe I'll feel different in a few days when that's at a level I can tell.

Is there some sort of a hormone surge during implantation? Like, does your body produce more progesterone or estrogen to facilitate the implantation and then back off once it's implanted? B/c the metal mouth and itchiness is due to progesterone.

Found this:

Progesterone: This hormone is produced by the follicle from which the mature egg has been released (once the egg is released, this follicle is known as the corpus luteum). Progesterone helps make the endometrial lining ready for implantation if an egg is fertilized during the cycle. Progesterone also prevents the egg follicles from developing any further.

and this:

If an egg is fertilized and successfully implants into your uterine lining during this cycle, your body will begin to secrete human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone helps to continue the production of estrogen and progesterone for the remainder of your pregnancy. The corpus luteum will also continue to produce progesterone as it is stimulated by the fetus' placenta.

more soon but the dog is in need of a pee

So, it says the hCG will begin to be produced after the implantation is completed. right?
So was my nausea caused by progesterone levels?? Or was it hCG?
Was that implantation cramping? If it was then, according to the article I quoted above, I should not have had nausea caused by hCG levels.

any other thoughts out there???

the nausea could be completely unrelated...

I had nausea this morning for a short time ( a few hours) for seemingly no reason... and I know I'm not pg

you don't really get PG symptoms until after implantation is done... anything before that has nothing to do with being PG because your body doesn't yet know it's PG until implantation.
