i know i could use the tide or all free and clear HE, but i have to confess....i miss the baby smell
: . you only get a chance to use it for such a short period of time
. it's funny because we use free and clear for us...DH is sensitive, but i was at the store and smelled the bay detergents
it brought back memories....we used all baby deteregent last time, but now we have a HE front load machine.....will it clog up the machine if you use LESS of a reg detergent? i'm just trying to figure out because i went thru all DS old clothes and want to wash them and put tem away for new babe.... BETTER YET do they make a enviro friendly version??

I never used "baby" detergent bc they are fragranced, and I am allergic to fragrances. If you want to use a regular detergent in an HE washer, you can use 1/2 the regular amount. I already use 1/2 the regular amount of HE detergent, so I bet you could get away with using 1/4. Regular detergents tell you to use way too much of their product.

There are lots of great natural detergents, but most of them are fragrance-free, so you probably won't find that "baby" smell you are looking for. I use Allen's on my cloth diapers. Some of my friends use Bio-kleen. Both are biodegradable and not harmful to the environment.
