Do we know yet??

We should be getting close! For those who will be finding out the sex.. does anyone know for sure ( or for ultrasound/amnio for sure) yet?

We have about 3-4 weeks before our u/s will be scheduled so I am getting anxious. In my dreams it is a boy, and I think boy...but ( to quote an old wives' tale..) the heartbeat has been about 150-155 most of the time so I have just that little question of maybe in my mind

We had an ultrasound at about 13 1/2 weeks and they said it was a "very happy" boy.
We should have a more definate idea after week 20, though.

What's the old wives tale you're talking about? I've been told that I'm "carrying low" which is supposed to indicate a boy.

In about another 6 weeks, we will have the ultrasound that we can (hopefully!) find out on. Our son insists that it's a girl, but I really don't have a "feeling" either way.

I am interested in the wives tale too. At our 10 week ultrasound, the heartbeat was like 178 - but at our visit this week it was a steady 150. I think that was just a difference between being very "busy" one day, and resting another.

Gristastic, ha! A very happy boy.
Our son had an erection, so there was no doubt, but that was at 24 weeks.

LOL! I hope then at 20 weeks you still have a very happy boy!
I was talking about the heartbeat tale.. 140 and under is supposed to indicate a boy and higer means a girl. It was pretty accurate with my 2. Gav's was usually around 135 and Ella was around 160 most of the time. Of course, I was MUCH younger when I was pregnant with Gavin and quite a bit more active with Ella.. and I am even more active now.

I was expecting to be much more anxious about finding out the sex, but I am really enjoying this pregnancy and it seems like time is just flying!

Both my girls had steady 140 heart rates.

As for us, I am not having an ultrasound for another 3 weeks or so. I was at the doc a couple of days ago and I was measuring really big (even for me and I usually measure big-but this was like 6 weeks big) and he listened to see if there were two heartbeats and thought he actually heard two different heart rates
I still didn't want an early U/S so we are all chewing our fingers now...

We may or may not find out. We'll see.

I've heard "carrying like a basketball belly in front" means boy, whereas carrying more to the sides is a girl. Gotta love those old wives tales!

We had our ultrasound on Tuesday and we are having a very stubborn little girl
Oh and for the wives tale.. our last ultrasound she had a heartbeat of 140 :LOL But the ultrasound place we went too guarantees they are right about the sex or they will refund what you triple what you paid... they've never been wrong in 13 years supposedly so we feel confident she really has no penis

We're gong to have another surprise. Every time I feel a new sensation, different from my first pregnancy, I think, "Oh! It must be a boy!" and every time I feel something familiar I think, "Oh, it is definitely a girl!"
But we loved the whole long anticipation and the amazing moment of finding out at the birth. I am curious, but we're planning to hold out till the end.

I had one friend who saw the umbilical cord at birth, mistook it for a penis, called all her friends and relatives and told them it was a boy, and his name, etc...only to realize hours later at the first diaper change that it was a girl after all!!! :LOL

We are going to try to find out at the ultrasound I'll have in August.

Our ultrasound is next Tuesday -- I'll be 18 1/2 weeks...I can't wait!! I'm feeling same as last time in that if I had to choose I would choose boy (but girl next, please :LOL), and I kinda think it is a boy. No real reason -- I just think it is.

What I'm not looking forward to is the sense of loss. If I find out we're having a boy, all my dreams for a sweet little girl are gone for now. And if it's a girl, my ds will never have a brother close in age like I kinda want...almost like you're losing a child, kwim?

I don't think I'm disappointed enough to wish for twins, though (although it would be really neat!!). Lots of work, though. Good luck with that cosmos!!

I have my u/s on the 3rd of August. I had an appt. today and the heartrate was 150. I don't have a feeling one way or the other. I am hoping this baby cooperates! We were told with our son that we were having a daughter. They even gave us a 94% chance!!! Weren't we surprised when she came out a he???
glad to see there are some of us getting ultrasounds and such, I am getting an amnio on the 19th (wish me luck) and think it's a boy, and at last ob visit she said we may have a boy here, according to the heart rate....I hope for a boy to complete my little family as this will be my last baby...at 36 I feel a bit done with the whole pregnancy thing and up most of the nite thing...I'm ready to sit back and watch them grow up!
We have out u/s a week from today. We weren't going to peak, but now we want to. I really think its a girl, from the day we conceived I've thought "girl" I won't be bummed if its a boy, but I'll feel stupid! DH has decided he wants to know so that he can research circumcision in case its a boy. I'm letting him think he can decide this, but we are NOT circumcising. If its a boy, I'll just start giving him lots of research on the topic.

When you find out, will you tell people in your non-web life? I sorta feel like it takes the fun out of it for them.....

We will
We recently moved away from my family and my poor mother was heartbroken. I have a few close friends that are already asking what sex the baby is so they can start shopping

Whew! I just wanted to quick update that I had the U/S and we are NOT having twins. Just a perfectly healthy large baby. Able to pass on finding out the sex no problem, I didn't even get twitchy and anxious! I love surprises!
