this issue has never bothered me in the past, but i have been around someone new lately and have come to realize that i eat alot of food lately.

i have been steadily losing weight over the last several months, but the proportions of food i can put away probably equal a man's (more than some men, apparently).

E is 13 months old and is about 95% bf.

i will give an example, to put this in perspective. today's lunch was:

3 slices of swiss cheese b/c i was starving
can of broccoli, potatoe and chees soup (the large progresso cans..i know, not the healthies)
2 slices of bread
banana
clemintine
glass of milk (TALL).

do you guys think i eat too much? i didnt have breakfast but i will eat a fairly large dinner and i coudl eat right now but am trying not to eat when its not lunch or dinner.

I definitely eat more than my husband.. but he is really little. Now that I am nursing full time and pumping as much as possible, I am constantly hungry! I weigh less now than I did before dd was born, but I dont look any smaller.

I think your lunch was about average to what I eat.. maybe Ill count calories for a few days and see about where Im at. Just for funsies. =D

That sounds about right esp if your dc is 95% breastfed. My 11 mo old just recently started solids so I am right there with you. I am ALWAYS thirsty and I tend to nibble all day long so I don't have any clue on calories but I do weigh about 20 lbs less than before I got preg so I am not complaining. I love , the weight loss was just a bonus. I say eat away my friend and enjoy

I don't...but honestly I don't think I eat enough. As long as you aren't gaining weight, I wouldn't worry.

I just want to mention that liquids are often lower calorie by volume than solids. The above meal does not sound that caloric to me, but it does sound voluminous

Well, that's a pretty normal size lunch for me. But, I do think that I eat A LOT. I mean, *A WHOLE LOT* I eat like you, except a full breakfast, lunch, dinner plus a couple generous snacks thrown in throughout the day.

I am overweight, though, by about 30 pounds. Tandem nursing, too, to a 2 year old and 6 month old. I'm just really out of whack body-wise ....... always hungry, but definitely overeating. I figure that after I wean (at least wean the oldest) that maybe I'll start to even out.

Are you worried about your weight?

well, i am dropping sizes, and have one more size to go..but im doing that by cutting out the junk in my diet...not by limiting the amount of real food i eat.

so, i guess a little yes, but largely no. id like to lose a little more weight but really, i cant be hungry in order to do that.

I would eat about the same amount for lunch as you, though I usually spread "lunch" over a couple of hours!

I always eat breakfast, but then I eat at least every couple of hours 'til bed time. I try to eat nutritious foods, but almost every day I would have something relatively "treat-like", say, some chocolate or cake. I have a huge milkshake almost everyday too.

Ds is 10 months and 95% bf I would say. Sometimes I eat *so* much over a span of a few days, then I weigh myself, and I'm just the same. I am about the same weight as pre-conception = slim-ish athletic build.

Generally, I would say I eat more than most women/mothers I know, but then, I have always eaten more than most of my co-workers and friends. It's just me.

I eat at least as much as you do! I'm tandem nursing, but DD is down to 2/day. DS is 9 mo and 90% bf, probably. I'm not overweight and I'm always hungry.

I am always hungry and do eat a lot. DS is 2 months old. I wish I could eat healthier; I miss having both arms free to prepare good salads and stirfrys. I do the best I can...

When I'm hungry I am hungry. My girl is 13 months and still get mm, maybe 80% of her calories from me. I lost all of my pregnancy weight but have since put on about 8lbs over the last few months so I think even that 20% shift is hittin' my thighs.
And I LOVE sweets more then ever. But I'm now on day 4 of not eating refined sugar. My sweet (no pun intended) neighbor brought over a plate of cookies today and I had to send her away, and then apologize for being rude. If those cookies were in the house right now I'm sure I'd be 1/2 way through them.
