I can't say enough about the company I've partnered with. One of this month's special's is a 61 piece first aide kit. It has xxx antibiotic cream, pure tea tree oil, pain relief cream for muscle aches, hand sanitizer, anti fungal/itch cream, tweezers, scissors, cotton swabs, gauze, bandage wrap w/velcro fastener, a variety of bandages and more! I never thought about putting one in my car until recently and am glad I did. I got a blister from some new sandals and ds got a paper cut yesterday while out and about...the kit came in quite handy!
My partner's mother gave us one for Christmas. Every year she gives all her kids some "useful," usually safety-related gift (the year before it was an emergency escape ladder). At first I was like, WTF? Where's the real gift? But it's actually kind of cool because these are so NOT things I would ever buy for myself, but it's great to have around. The first aid kit has everything under the sun -- everything mentioned above and lots more, too -- swabs, tourniquets, you name it. It also has basic first aid instructions and tips, so the info's right there at your fingertips when you need it. A cool thing. So it's not very "natural" although we could certainly customize it with some stuff. But it works for us!
We have one in the car that's about depleted -- I think all that's left in there is the nail polish remover (why? manicure emergencies count as first-aid?) and those pointless little teensy 1/2-inch long bandaids, and maybe one packet of Tylenol. So time to replenish that one.
natural would be neat but I could only use it on my son. Since I have a preschool I have a big one that was inspected by licensing and they aren't into natural stuff so its just what is normally in a box. Even syrup of ipecac has to be in it even thought its not something we suppose to use anymore. Go figure that one out.
I do have maxie pads in it because they help stop bleeding better then just the bandages along. Learned that in my CPR class.
