I am usually obsessing over names my entire pregnancy to find just the right name, but this time I just haven't been worrying about it. We have a couple in mind for a boy so we decided we will figure it out once he is here. We only found 1 for a girl we both liked so if he comes out a she we'll just go for that.

Where are you with names? Have you made final decisions or will you wait til baby arrives? Are you shareing your names/name options with others?

We chose the name a while ago (partner chose it actually!) We were semi keeping it a secret but now EVERYONE knows.
We're naming her Leela!

This little bean will be Evelyn (Evie) Rose

DH had this name come to him while he was facilitating a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery while in the Army a few years back (now he is back in the Army but has a different job... one a little less depressing!)

The name came to him while he was trying not to think about what was going on around him... He said he was starting to get emotional so he had to think of something else.

It kind of came about in a little less than ideal way... but we still love it

We do kinda.

We have a name (Hayden Sky) but don't feel strongly enough about it. We have some backups but don't feel anything about them either.

We'll make a decision for sure when we meet him. Or the ultrasound was wrong and it's really a girl and then she'll be Sophie...lol.

Our new little girl will be named Marley.

We waited a while to be sure this was THE name before sharing it with anyone... and started by sharing with people's whose opinions didn't matter much to us (like coworkers) to gauge reactions. The first thing people always say is "Like the dog in Marley & Me?" A few people outright disliked it. When these reactions didn't deter us, and we started talking to the belly as "Marley", we realized it really was THE name.

The way we announced it to family and friends was like so: we had done a 3D ultrasound, and we emailed the supercute pictures of her, with her name across the top. In the email we pointed out that we love the name, and if they don't love it, please keep that info to themselves! We got nothing but positive comments.

We like this name because 1) it is girly sounding to us, but not TOO soft; 2) we both love Bob Marley music and there are several songs that have sentimental value/personal meaning for us. For example, "No Woman, No Cry" soothed me when my mom died; I used to sing "Three Little Birds" with my oldest daughter when we needed to know "everything little thing gonna be alright"; and also, I went to see Bob Marley at an open air concert with my family when I was just a little one myself! 3) It was the only name that when we talked to the belly, really seemed to fit.

BTW: I think Evelyn, Leela and Sophie are all beautiful too!

We haven't even been able to narrow them down much. I like to have a few favorites on hand and name them once we meet them. So far the frontrunners are Zenobia and Zola. I really like Brennan too but one of my mom's friends named her girl that so I feel weird using it. Loving the names I'm hearing!
Posted via Mobile Device

if this is indeed a little girl her name will most likely be Adeline Hope. my son's name is Auden Song. i think they go nicely together...only we will have an Addy and an Audie, which feels a bit cutesy. my husband's name also starts with the same vowel sound so it can get a bit tricky!

Ronan Robert - he's very obviously a boy based on the last 4 ultrasounds so we feel pretty confident he won't end up being a Kaylee

We finally have a name. I decided to let hubby decide since he was a little nervous to have a girl, I thought it would be a way for them to bond. So I made a list of a ton of girl names I liked. He vetoed all but 3 of them (Katie, Kayley, and Sarah) and I told him to pick from those.

About 2 weeks ago he decided on Sarah, I was glad because of the 3 that was my favorite, and for some reason whenever I thought of her I thought Sarah. I know it's a hugely popular name but it just seems to fit... and I love that it means princess

I'm pretty sure I know his name, dh is not on board . After last dd's birth my m/w asked me what her name was and I told her~ dh was never 100% on board with that eiher~ but she could never have been anyone else and he admits that now.

I suppose I'll know when I meet him or maybe he'll tell me again and I'll be sure again.
I think all of these names are great in our DDc~ I love reading our choices and the stories behind them!!

We do not know what sex the baby is yet, but we are positive if it is a boy he will be Gideon Matthew. Now, if this is a little girl we are down to two names.... Iris or Agatha (called Aggie) her middle name will be Mary, after my Grandma who passed a little over a year ago.
We shared our names and got less than positive feedback, but really we do not care what people think especially on the Mary name, people can be so rude sometimes.
People are rude, I certainly agree. We don't share our picks IRL either.
We learned that the hard way~ a long time ago.

Nope, not yet. DH 'changed' DD's name AT BIRTH last time around, so I'm waiting until this one is born.

BTW, I liked the name we picked for DD originally. And I liked the name DH eventually picked at birth...it really seemed to fit her! So I kinda like the idea of waiting until we meet #3 (who I'm just calling Trey or Tres right now) to name him.

We are definitely not settled on anything. I have a pretty long list of both boys' and girls' names in a notebook I carry in my bag, so I can add anything that sounds good, but we are waiting until we meet the LO to decide what his/her name will be.

That being said, I feel pretty strongly that it's a boy, and the only name that has stuck with me throughout the pregnancy is Luca August. So, it's the frontrunner.

My DH is completely unhelpful. He can think of plenty of reasons to reject names that I have brought up, but offers none himself. Except for ones like "Bazooka." He thinks he's hilarious, obviously.

We don't have a name yet either. We have a long list of silly ideas and a short list of more serious ideas, but nothing that really jumps out at us yet.

Yep, DS2 will be named Camden. It's so nice to refer to him by a name and not baby, makes me feel even more connected!

Not quite sure on the middle name, DH wants it to be Zebedee. I guess I don't really care.
