I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and I realized as I was walking through the airport that I'm waddling!

I have that whole back and forth walk thing going on! I had it with my son pretty early but I just noticed it and I felt pretty silly!

Do you waddle and when did it start??

I avoided it the first time around, and I don't have it now either. I guess I won't get it, knock on wood. Doesn't pelvic or hip pain usually accompany it? I really don't want that. Or maybe it is just for balance, but I already have such wide hips it's no problem.

With my ds my midwife said-you didn't lose your wiggle With dd, I felt like I looked like I was just a fat lady so I emphasied and 'made' a little waddle, but by 30+ weeks I had a legitimate waddle!!! Mine wasn't accompanied by pain, it was more to accomodate the head that was slowly descending into my pelvis!

I actively avoid the waddle. When I feel myself slipping into it,I make a point of straightening up and using my ab muscles to pull my belly in. The waddle just puts too much strain on the back and hips and causes avoidable pregnancy aches and pains.
