My husband is graduating from Army basic training soon, and I want a dipe that is made out of the Army's ACU fabric (the digital camo)...maybe with a cute patriotic embroidery or even daddy's name tape. I was thinking about buying an ACU shirt and having it made for me. Ideas? Maybe even a matching dress

Diaper Change Diapers makes great print pockets. You would probably have to send her the fabric, but I'm sure it would be nice.

Is he training at Fort Benning.

I know I have seen cute ACU dresses in the past on diaperswappers. You could do a simple pillowcase dress in a lighter weight fabric, and have the flag from the uniform put across the front. I have a local friend who makes dresses very reasonable and will do custom requests and we can get any Army patches here if you need help with that. ACU pillowcase dress with yellow (support the troops) ribbon, or a patriotic ribbon would also be cute.

yes, he's at Benning. The flag idea is really cute! We'll be heading down for his mid cycle break in June, and graduation in July, so do you think I should have 2 outfits?

Congrats on how close he is to graduation!! DH graduated from Benning in August of last year

I had outfits for the day we picked him up for family weekend, turning blue, and actual graduation!! I think the ACU dress and diaper is an adorable idea!! I actually have a lady making me a custom ACU diaper right now... I think looking on Etsy is a great idea!

I'll be heading out of here around June, but let me know if you need anything as you plan your trip.

I might do two outfits, but make one more of a patriotic look so it can also be used for July 4th & Labor Day. Pillowcase dresses for these are so cute (and cheap) because the ribbon as a bit of femininity to the dress and as she grows it can be worn as a shirt.

thank you! We are so excited, he is even more excited though. He says it sucks, but he's actually enjoying himself in some dark corner of his mind, I think. I forgot about turning blue,

I was a TOTAL wreck at DH's Turning Blue... he almost didn't make it through (got restarted twice) so it was just SUCH a relief to be DONE!!

You need somone who can digitize your design.
I am trying to think who can do this.

Clothmo does a lot of embroidery, but not sure if she can digitize.
AmySue of ZanyZebra does some embroidery too if I recall
Maybe Bumware or
Bebops. Actually knowing the cute clothing that bebops makes I think that would be where I would inquire first if I were looking for something specific. Her work is gorgeous.
