Well....Fuzzi Bunz have gone through a lot of transitions. It depends upon what style they are. Does it say "newest style", "old style", "rounded tabs", "pointy tabs"? I would be hesitant on ebay unless you know specifically what they are. FB's used to have rounded tabs and then they switched to pointed tabs with one snap configuration. They now still have pointy tabs but have a new snap configuration. I can't tell you anything about the snap changes, but I can tell you about them in general. I have some really old ones (fleece inside and out) and I love those. I have one very new one (pul outside, fleece inside) that works great also. My only problem with the new one is that it is tight on my ds's legs. The other thing about FB's is that you have to wash them properly to prevent them from getting build-up which causes the fleece inside to repel. That is an issue with used ones. YOu might have to strip them (do a search). It is not difficult, just be aware of it. Also, there are some reverse print ones out there. They tend to have wicking issues. I would not buy a bunch of those unless you have tried one first. They were printed with the pattern on the wrong side and sold as seconds.
HTH. I know you will get more help here.

I think the other poster gave you good info. If you're new to CDing, you're not going to want to figure out what's happening with the diapers.

Are you looking for AIOs? Pocket diapers? Fitteds? If you check out the review section of this forum, you'll find tons of great info.

I don't like the way they fit on my chubby thighed boy...he always get nasty red marks on his legs! If you are looking for a pocket dipe...I really like Happy Heinys, no red marks with those and cute prints.

I like my FB's ok ... I have 26 of them (got a great price on them) and 12 are mediums and 14 are larges and i can say that it does nto seem like there is alot of consistacy with the way they are made. Some fit my son where they gap and some fit perfect. I would suggest buying only a few to begin with and see how you like them. Right now i use my Larges for night time diapering (with 2 infant prefolds) and mediums with Infant CPF for daytime use.

I really like FB for my baby. It really depends on the shape. You are probably better off in the long run to just order 2-3 FB, a few HH, and whatever else you think you might use. Look at your lifestyle, and how you think you'd actually use the dipes. Order a few, try them, and sell what you don't use

Good Luck! I'm a pocket diaper girl myself, and use them most of the time, but have some CPFs, too

I like them. It's what we started with. I have 20 or so I think. We use mediums and large on Brian and he fits both sizes fine. He has thin thighs.

They are nice IMO b/c they don't stain, they're easy to assemble and put on the baby, and they dry fast vs my fitted which I am tending to grab more often.

I agree - try a few, see how they work for *you*

I don't like velcro it's such a mess, doesn't hold up as long as snaps even with laundry tabs.

The newest Fuzzi Bunz are fabulous! They are very roomy in the thigh and are made a bit larger all around than the older styles. Which is wonderful so that they fit longer. They also have new and improved thick fleece inside and new and improved snaps. So I wouldnt suggest buying used right now when the new ones are so close to perfected.

I like fuzzi bunz, too. I use them, bumkins aios and hemp fitteds. The fuzzi bunz dry so quickly and never stain, which I can't say about the bumkins or the hemp fitteds I have.

I do find that sizes vary but they are adjustable so it's okay. And my DS has thick thighs.

The only thing negative that I notice is that the fleece becomes very pilly.

I really like my Fuzzibunz a lot. We use them every night, stuffed with 2 Joeybunz. I got mine from DiaperWare. I love them because we have never had a leak, they are soft and flexible - and seem like they would be comfy to sleep in, and with the snaps we can adjust the leg opening down for our small thighed daughter. They also dry instantly, which is nice!

The solid Happy Heiny's are made of the same (or similar?) shell material as the FBs (the prints are different and are stiffer). You can get them at Diaperware (or a bazillion other places), too. If you like the idea of velcro better than snaps (easier to put on) or if your baby is thicker in the thighs, HHs might be the way to go for you For your first foray into CD'ing, I would buy one or two FBz and HHs new and see what you think before you start getting used ones.

oh yeah - the fuzzi bunz fleece attracts fuz. It used to drive me crazy til I figured out why. I was using sherpa and hemp fleece diapers and washing them together and the fuz would flake off the sherpa and hemp fleece onto the fuzzi bunz fleece. I am a bit anal retentive so sold off all my sherpa and hemp fleece and it dramatically reduced the fuz to almost none. Then I started making fitteds and buying fitteds, some of which had sherpa. Now the fuzzies are back. Argh! I am finding with the fitteds I'm making with malden mills microfleece - MM microfleece doesn't pick up the fuzzies.

Sorry about the long tangent:

They work well enough--keep ds's tush dry and don't leak if you stuff them properly but we can't really use them because they leave terrible red marks on ds's chunky thighs. He's in a large but they still leave marks. HH work a little better for his thighs but not much. HTH

my babies both have very thin thighs and FB's leave red welts on thier legs every time (the new ones.) i dont remember the old style doing this to my DD.
i cant recommend them at all.
i havent tried any other type of pocket diaper...i really prefer snaps. im gonna be looking around though.
good luck! i would buy one and see how it does on the thighs before i invest in any more. that was my biggest mistake, but i didnt know.

I like FBs...we used them when DD was a newborn (along w/prefolds and covers). Since then I have tried just about everything and now am leaning back toward FBs. You can use them day or night, and the fleece keeps the bum dry. They are trim and easy to care for and easy to put on a wiggling crawler! During the summer we used fitteds w/o a cover but now the idea of putting a diaper AND a cover on screaming DD does not sit well. She has chunky thighs and a slim waist; the Ms fit on the biggest thigh setting and the Ls fit on the smallest. I just bought 2 dozen (1 doz off ebay and 1 dozen from caleb's corner/fuzzi bunz store) and plan to transition to using them almost all the time.

The solid HHs are nice too, but DD always manages to get a red mark on her from the velcro. The HHs also seem a bit bulkier. We use HHs and FBs at night.

We have had great success w/FB on our skinny girls. I too would suggest purchasing new since the very latest version seem to work best for more folks.
