I can't seem to find a pic right now, but my just turned 4yo is about ready to outgrow his Marathon (in height). He has a pretty long torso though, and is about 42" tall and 39 pounds. It's still comfortable for him, but he only has about 1/2 inch before his shoulders are even with the top harness slot.

I originally purchased a Radian before the Marathon, and I had to return it. I couldn't get a tight install in my Honda Odyssey using the seat belt. I also didn't really care for how narrow it was in the seat. It seemed like it would be uncomfortable when he got bigger, but maybe not, that was just my perception.

When he outgrows the MA, he will be moving into his older brother's Regent. We love that seat!

Here's my 5 year old in his marathon. These aren't great pictures but they're all I have online at the moment. There is a really padded protector thing at the clip area that ds pulled off recently after spilling something on it so it's not there in the pic.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/06...08/5100818.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/06...08/4250818.jpg

I don't know how old you want, but this is my 3 1/2 year old in his radian65. He's about 40 1/2" tall and 35lbs. He would just barely fit one harness slot lower, but since he was so close I moved the harness up to the top slots so I wouldn't have to worry about it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3172/...31811890d5.jpg

That's exactly how my DD fit her Radian, too. She as just a hair over the next to top slots.

an_aurora--the radian and marathon seem to fit beautifully together. Do they? I'm kinda leaning towards getting one of each, so seeing those pics together helped.

They do fit very well together, as long as they are both facing the same direction. They don't seem to puzzle well together if one is RF and the other is FF.
