I was reading on another board and they were discussing the name of their homeschoo.. Apparetnly it is required where they live to name their school, so when the child completes teh course of study they have a name to put on their diploma and their college entrance stuff. I've never heard of it, (maybe I havent' looked into it enough) but is it normal? Is it required everywhere?

Our state doesn't have any requirements. There was a time or two when I was signing up for something online and the form wouldn't be accepted without a "school name" so I used our street name. I don't think my kids are going to want a diploma, but if they did, we'd just pick a name at that time. On college entrance forms, they could just note, "homeschooled."

I see us as a family, not a school, so I'm really happy we don't need to play along with the system and name ourselves.
