I go through phases of useing snappies or not and wondered the other day how they would hold up in the washer and dryer.
Also, I never used to put my PUL covers in the dryer, always line dried. But I have been tired and lazy with pregnancy and have been throwing them in the dryer. Anyone else?

Um I USED to wash and boil the snappi's but after my unfortunate owie, I won't be doing that again! LOL I will wash them with soap and water, I wouldn't put them in the washer though because of them getting tangled and or ripping diapers.

PUL, yes I wash and dry all of it.

I wash the snappis when they get poop on them and I never put my PUL covers in the dryer. I am always afraid they will not last as long.

You can put PUL in the dryer but dont be crying when it starts wicking or fading

Solids usually dry by the time I stop and the cotton based prints go in the dryer for the last few minutes of cycle if I am in a hurry to fold and put away.

Of course this was back in the day when I had a dryer

I wash my Snappis occasionally, always if pooped on and they do NOT hold up well in the washer, as my two that recently got mangled after being thrown in accidentally can attest.

I throw all my PUL in the dryer for the most part and I have some covers that I've had for at least a year and a half and they have NEVER wicked or faded. I used to try to air dry it but gave up the ghost while in a hurry a couple times.

I occassionally wipe my snappis off. And I usually lay my PUL covers on top of the dryer, but lately I have tossed them in the dryer. This won't happen again because 1 of my covers looks worn down (probley from 3 HOT washes and the dryer, lol). So starting tomorrow I will be air drying all my PUL.

i hear ya! i made the mistake of always drying my favorite momufactured aio. its now my favorite fitted. the pul is completely ruined from all the hot wash and dries. it was definitely well loved and i have learned my lesson.

Marnie.

I never washed a snappi, and yes, I held it in my teeth while I changed, and I put PUL in the dryer all the time and have never had a problem with wicing. I dry everything on low and come back usually to remove PUL and fleece after 20 minutes.
