Me and more prefold questions. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/duck.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Duck">:<br>
It just seems like it'd be easier to fold it and lay it in there, but I've seen mamas at playgroup twisting and snappying their toddlers. I know for babies snappies help contain, but I'm wondering if anyone bothers with older babies and tots?

I like pf's to be separate from what ever cover I am using. So I've always snapied or pinned them. I like them to fit snug and contain whatever comes out of my kid. And it's fun.<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I only use a Snappi at night when my toddler wears wool longies over the prefold. When he wears a prefold during the day, it is trifolded in a cover. It is much easier to tear off the cover with the trifolded prefold if he decides he wants to use the potty than to take off the cover, undo the Snappi and pull off the prefold.

Nope I don't snappi or pin my pfs. I lay the pf in the cover, put it under ds, do whatever fold I want and then bring the cover up to keep it all snug. I tried snappi-ing, and I really liked how snug the pf was, but I don't think it really helped at all.

We only snappi'd when we had a cooperative baby...once the twisting/crawling away started I cut myself with the snappi (pretty badly) and went to trifolding (we also added some fitteds). I find the rarely shift with a good cover (IV, WWB) and they are easier to pull off for the potty.

I snappi because my DD has become the master of taking her cover off.<br><br>
If the prefold is snappied under there, I have a few more minutes before she is totally bare and running free.

I still snappi for the most part....but my baby is only 14 months old so that may change soon....he's definitely quite wiggly which makes it harder to snappi but he also has unpredictable poos so the trifolding isn't a great option for us most of the time....I do it if I'm in a hurry though. My trifolding usually holds up best in my WWB covers but I have pretty good luck with my IV Bumpy cover too. I use wool longies/shorties/soakers a lot though so I usually have to snappi anyway.

The mamas in your playgroup use cloth? Wow, I'm jealous. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I snappi because otherwise we have poop disasters. It's definitely a little challenging when she is squirming at a diaper change, but I always put a nice snug wool wrap over the prefold, so even if the snappi is a little wonky, it's still holding the prefold together, and the wrap does the rest. Double protection in our case!

I'll snappi more often than just laying the PF in a cover. But DS' poops are still pretty looses, even though he is 2, so if the PF is just laid in a cover when he poops then the cover gets messy.

Well, it's an API playgroup that I found on the internet and drive like 20 minutes to. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue"><br><br><div style="margin:20px;margin-top:5px;">
