I have a 22 month old and a 2 month old. For precisely one week I washed their diapers seperately and kept them in seperate pails, until I realized all I was doing was constantly washing diapers! Ever since I wash them together - and they get thrown in the same pail too! The only difference is I have to dunk and swish the poo off of DS dipes before they go in the pail - DDs breastfed poops just go straight in! I would say just save yourself the hassle and wash them together!

We've always washed in the same load (DD is now 4.5, DS 2). The major reason, though, was that DD has been day trained since before DS was born, so she only has a few diapers. I wash their clothes together, so it never even occured to me to wash their dipes seperately. Esp once they were in the same size!

Thank you for the replies! I had planned on washing them together but wasn't sure if there was some weird reason why I shouldn't. I knew I could count on all you expereienced Mommies! I guess I just need to buy a bigger pail!!

I'm odd woman out :LOL I have two in dipes and generally wash their stuff seperately! Some stuff get's "mixed together" which I don't worry too much about. I've been doing it for so long I can't see myself trying to do something different. It probably also makes a difference that I can wash two loads at the same time (coin op here)..

Or I'm just sooo anal....detailed, really
