I'm not talking about matching diapers to covers or matching soakers, longies or AIO's that you see with a shirt either. I mean diapers that are under clothes and that no one else except you(or whoever changes them) is going to see. I've been trying to do that lately and my DH thinks I've finally gone over the cloth diapering edge. He thinks I'm a bit obsessed. s

Tongiht is C's b.day party and it's a firetruck theme. He's wearing a fire truck t-shirt so I have a whole line-up ready for him from his fireman print fitted to his flame print AIO's. He'll be wearing jeans so no one will see them, but I'll know they're there.

Please tell me I'm not the only one! :

I don't match the dipes to the outfit purposely, but when they do match, it looks sooooooooo adorable!!

I know this is not your question, but I once caught a one of the teachers at my daughter's daycare putting a blaze orange daisy doodle under some rose colored pants

I tried to make a joke about it, and restrained from suggesting that from now on the diaper should match the clothes. But in all honesty, I believe down to my toes that it should. When I pick out my kids clothes, I make sure they wear something that has enough cooordinating dipes for the day.

I do that. If we are going out, I also match the wipes to the diapers.

So, if we have a lime green shirt with blue jeans, I get all of my lime green print diapers (my color lately) and pack them, then find all matching wipes and pack them. It's strange.... but it's cool too.

I always put on a big show while changing cloth in public too. I talk about how soft it is.... "Oh look, you get a super soft diaper! I love this one... the velour inside is so luxurious." and have her feel it before I put it on her.

People do stop and look. I'm such a freakshow.

:LOL Well, we use pfs and wool covers, so the diaper doesn't match, but I try to make sure the cover does. If DS is wearing an outfit that is mostly blue, I try to make sure that the covers he wears for the day are blue

I bought some fb seconds b/c we 'needed' a red one to 'go' w/a few outfits.

I'll lay out a t-shirt, sweater or long shirt, three pairs of pants (wool and fleece) and 6 fitteds that all match, for my sitter to dress DD in for the day.
I used to be bugged out when I got home and her whole outfit was mixmatched. The only down side is the sitter tosses the wool and fleece pants into the diaper pail (yuk) and I come home to find the wool soaked w/urine.

yes, admitedly.
Most of the time I do this, but I don't really have enough diapers yet to do it all the time. But i reason that at least the snappi has to match the diaper, so just the diaper matches itself(like with GMAR stuff) or the snappi has to match the outfit, or the soaker or cover has to match the outfit. But alas, I feel so mishappen when EVERYTHING doesn't match. Are any of you artist as well? I am, is this why I am so weird?:LOL And, the kicker- I never go out, since I could buy my own underwear, yes all these years-in non-matching underwear. Call me phsycotic(?) if you will but I just can't do it!:LOL

But of course! Isn't that one of the reasons to use cloth? We use a lot of color fireflys and it is a really good day when I can mix and match color combinations all day long. I love colors.

Can I admit how thrilled I was the time that the dipe matched the soaker and the hand-dyed by me t-shirt AND matched the OUTFIT of the LADY we met who was a total stranger but was interested in cloth dipes? :
