DD cries more when she gets an x-ray than when she gets shots, even if dh and I are with her or she has something to drink. We went to have her cast taken off her leg and she sat calmly as the blade sawed into her cast, and then freaked out when we went into the x-ray room.

Maybe it's because it's a big scary room with weird equipment and we put her on this funny table. Or maybe she just knows x-rays are bad for her! I wish someone would make a little mini-x-ray camera or something like that, then they could just walk over and snap a picture and not have to make her lie still on a weird table in a scary room.

DD had to have a chest x-ray last winter because we thought she had pneumonia. It was the most horrible experience I think we've ever gone through. She screamed, kicked would not sit still. They had to put a lead apron on me and I had to physically hold her down to get it. It was horrible, I don't know who was more upset about it. I don't know if it is because it is a scary room, or just the unknown element of it, but it wasn't at all pleasant, I hope I never have to go through that with her again.
