I have a Lovey and a Blanket. Okay my DCs have them.
Here's a picture of my DS wrapped in his Lovey. Jack is about 13 months old in that picture. Stacy has a picture of him as a newborn wrapped in his lovey on her Little Lizards page. I used it for nursing Jack a lot. Our Lovey is actually a little smaller than her standard size because I had it custom made with some fabric I had, it's woven on one side and fleece on the other. She made is as big as possible. I'll have to go and measure it later, DS is currently sleeping with it right now.
The Gecko blanket that my DD has is much bigger. It's larger than a crib blanket, so I'd think it would be a bit much for a nursing blanket.

The lovey really makes a great size, it is also a great transitional tool for when they aren't nursing anymore. They still have the loving comfort.

I'm going to order one of the pretty silk ones that Carrie makes for Radish. Just need to figure out what color I want to get.

Couldn't you just use a playsilk? Those don't cost very much. SOS has some for like $8.

I have the zebra playsilk from LLL, too. It is gorgeous. I have it for pictures. But I can't seem to get my little guy to stay still long enough for pics. Here I have this gorgeous silk and the KSS Zebra Nap soaker, and no pics. What a

Pretty silk ones? Do enlighten! Are they the ones I linked to? I like those a lot. I like the pink or raspberry ones.

going to SOS now. She likes Maddie's playsilk right now. I kind of wanted something that she could snuggle with when she was done nursing.

When my first niece and nephew were babies, my older dsis (their other auntie) made them both the cutest lovies out of basically scrap cloth.

She used a soft flannel-type material for one side, and a non-stretchy satin for the other side, sewed the two pieces of fabric together wrong sides out, then flipped them around and hand-stitched the opening closed (made like a pillow cover, if that makes sense.) Very inexpensive and so nice!

The silk ones are at the very top. There are also the original style Lizard Loveys at the bottom which use orangic fleece, flannel or sherpa (but no silk). She use to trim them in satin ribbon but I don't know if she still does that anymore. Ours are woven cotton prints on one side and polar fleece on the other trimmed in satin.

I'm leaning towards a "dark" blue one... so many pretty colors.

We have 2 lizard loveys- organic fleece and hand dyed silk. Soooooo Yummy!!
Oh- forgot about the Gecko blanket set! Stacy made one for my 4yo and Kaylee loves it! So much that she took the LE Aircore blanket off her bed so she can use the one Stacy made instead

Hey, aren't you on the wagon?

this is worth looking into.....I am not very good at sewing. One timeI thought I would sew a diaper.
It was a horrible thing. I might be able to handle sewing two pieces of fabric together though. This could work!
