<br><br><p>Yep. This. The New Placenta Group has been such a huge help...I truly do not think I would've felt comfortable starting to encapsulate placentas on my own had it not been for this group. SO much great info! I've now done 2 placentas and will be doing a 3rd this week, and my 4th next week! LOVE it!</p>

<br><br><p>Okay, thanks. The reason I ask is, after downloading Google Chrome to even be able to 'apply' to be a member, they asked if I had been trained by PBI. I wondered what was up with that. Hoping I can join soon!</p>

<p>I think they ask because it is a forum for independent PEs and want to keep it that way, and its nice to know people's backgrounds.  Several members are former PBi-ers.  I think it took a couple days to 'get approved.'   Looking forward to seeing you there!!!</p>

<p>hi there, i m living in the middle of nowhere in mexico and i have the deshydratator, but never used it yet, so i was wondering if you can explain to me how do i do,do i rinse it? what do i take off, or clean out? do i have anything to it? like how long it take to deshydrate the placenta and then what do i do, how do i consume it , store it, do i still make powder out of it?..... everything from a to z :O) the private clinic i m having the baby is 2 hours from my home, how is the best way to travel with the placenta to get it home safe and bacterie less.... ? i really hope you can help my email is [email protected] .thanks a lot !</p>

<p>PBi changed format of network membership for specialists over a year ago <a href="http://placentabenefits.info/network_options.asp.%C2%A0" target="_blank">http://placentabenefits.info/network_options.asp. </a> The quotas were short-lived idea to try to motivate members to spread the word and educate the community- it was never strict.  The correct, current information is that there are no quotas or required monthly fees to be associated with PBi.</p>

<p>Is The New Placenta Group still around?  I tried to googling it but nothing came up other than links to various message boards.  I'm very interested in learning to encapsulating placentas and making tinctures. </p>

<p>So, I know this thread has been going on for a while, but I just found it today and am very grateful for all the info about PBi, where to find support, supplies and just the over all encouragement. I was wondering if anyone here has heard of of gone through Full Circles Certification program? I only know what I've read through the info on the website. . . I am considering it for more of the one on one training and not so much the certification. Does anyone have any info on this?</p>

<p>I have been encapsulating placentas for many years, and I am willing to  help train anyone. I can train you over the phone easily. I learned the art from one of my mentor midwives who learned from Raven Lang, a midwife, LAC and Chinese Medicine practitioner. </p>
<p>It is very simple, and extremely powerful, I get the most amazing feed-back, mothers say that it is their "super woman pills", that the placenta medicine gives them energy, diminishes PPD, increases their milk supply and much more.</p>
<p>I don't think it is fair that PBi charges so much money. I think it should be a service easily accessed, and easily learned.</p>
<p>I do feel that the Traditional Chinese Medicine way (TCM) is best, because it has 1,000's of years of use!</p>
<p>There is IPEN to add your name to an online list of placenta encapsulation providers.</p>

<p>I will agree with you. PBi (or Placenta Benefits) really is a scam outfit. They try to promote their "certification" as the "end all, be all" of placenta encapsulation. It's also my understanding that they take a commission from folks that are "certified" under them. Their certification is just a way to make their practitioners look highly qualified to the lay person.</p>

<p>There are no commissions for PBi specialists taken from anyone.  I've been with PBi since 2008 and the organization has brought placenta encapsulation mainstream. </p>

<p>I don't transport organs because I'm not legally licensed to do it, so I do not pick up placentas or drop capsules off when finished.  I do not encapsulate in my home because of state laws that prohibit preparing meaty foods outside of an inspected and licensed kitchen facility.  Instead, I provide the entire service in the family's kitchen and at the same time am able to offer what I believe is more complete postpartum support.</p>

<p>I don't feel like transporting an already encapsulated placenta counts as transporting organs any more than transporting beef jerky does.</p>

<p>State laws prohibit preparing beef jerky in your home to be sold and consumed elsewhere unless your kitchen is inspected and licensed, though.  If not, would like to know which state.<br>
