Hi

My dd has a rash on her face that is spreading to her back. it started off as one tiny little dot and has slowly spread on her face.. at first i thought it was heat rash, since we had some hot days, but now it's spreading on her back, and one of the other kids that i babysit has a rash that looks awfully similiar.

can someone tell me what it is? she has no other symptoms.. no fever, nothing. ate nothing new, didn't use new detergent, is already in 100% cotton clothes. don't think it's ezcema, my son had it BAD as a baby, and this doesn't look like it

My dd had a virus that ended with a rash like that-small red speckly rash mostly on her cheeks, back of her neck and some on her back and tummy. She had the virus about 2 months ago and the rash is still here so I am wondering if it was related to that cold. I would be curious to hear what others think that rash looks like because it is very similar to my dds.

Well I couldn't see the rash very well in your photos, but just thought I'd tell you my experience with a rash!
Last fall, my husband got some poison oak. About a week later, my daughter got a rash on her stomach, and she was itchy. It didn't seem to get better, so I took her to a doctor and he said it was poison oak, and here is a prescription for cream and take some benedryl. It didn't get better and spread, and she was still really itchy and couldn't sleep at all. So I brought her to her regular doc who had been on vacation and he looked at this rash which had spread all over her body and said, well I'm pretty sure it is scabies, but lets do a test. So he scraped her rash and looked at it under a microscope and said he was still pretty sure it was scabies. We were afraid of the consequences of the prescription, as it was a pesticide, and tried a remedy with an ayurvedic doctor we know. Well, we couldn't handle the whole body paste of neem oil and tumeric so did the prescription cream and it cleared up. We had to keep dotting spots that would reappear, but eventually it all went away. It was an awful experience, mostly because it had gotten so out of hand by being misdiagnosed. I hope your daughter doesn't have scabies, just thought you should be aware. BTW, we have absolutely NO idea how she got it and we didn't.
