Is it used straight or diluted? If it's used diluted, what's the ratio of neem oil to water? Does it work? I'd love any other tidbits, like how often to apply it, or anything else anyone can tell me.
Thanks!

P.S. I know *nothing* about gardening, so speak slowly and with small words :LOL

Oh yeah, how much do you use at a time, and *where* exactly do you apply it and at what time of the season, and *how* exactly do you apply it (spray bottle?) etc etc etc...?

I'm asking for future reference. I don't have a garden right now and I have no idea what kinds of pests I'm going to be dealing with. I'm in the Northeast. Thanks!

(When I do have a garden, it will be a vegetable garden. OK, I'm really done talking now!)

ahhh. i wondered about how to get it dispersed (after chan kindly informed my ignorant self that it was not poison, i got some from the indian mkt- way cheaper than the premixed stuff in lowe's, btw- & it is awesome for skin issues.)

but gawd, the smell! (lol, the turmeric sandalwood skin cream- also great, astringent but useful- does dilute & defunkify the odor somewhat... in a blend, it can be a haunting undertone. but bleah, straight, the stuff is rough.)

i have neem. i have dr bronner's mint. this can work. thanks again!

Regarding the smell of straight Neem oil - quite pungent isn't it!? I have very sensitive skin and have used a neem oil blend that I get from www.bindi.com that actually smells pleasently green and earthy. This is not something you'd use for gardening or pest control but I've use it whenever my skin or baby's is irritated in any way.

no, I do not use it. It is too toxic. Just because something is natural doesn't mean it's safe.

ETA - it kills beneficial insects and butterflies, too. Neem doesn't differentiate between good and bad bugs.

but as fungicides go, i'm guessing it is less toxic than the alternatives. for some skin issues, you *need* something that is going to kill stuff. jock itch, anyone? (not me, lol.)

chan is the neem expert here. i'm waiting to hear her weigh in.
