out of three labors I only had it with one. my first my labor started with my water breaking in a gush 6 weeks early. with number two she was late. It may have very slowly come out. So slow I didn't notice.

I never saw mine with my 1st, & it came out when I was very much in labor with my 2nd. I never dilated before each labor either, OR had my waters break. I just suddenly found myself in labor!<br><br>
I wish that would happen again, like RIGHT NOW. ~grumble

With both of my Dd's, I was asleep, had a different kind of twinge, got up to go to the bathroom & noticed blood-streaked mucous. First one was born 3.5 hrs later, second one was born 1 hr later. I was 4-5 cm dilated for about 3 weeks prior with both, so maybe that is why I had the bloody show. With Dd2 my water broke as I entered the ER so when I went up to L&D & the nurse checked me, she was surprised that I was fully dilated with no bloody show - I'm assuming that the amniotic fluid washed it away.

For me, I could never tell if it was really the mucous plug or the usual vaginal discharge I get in pregnancy. It was never bloody or colored funny or I would have assumed it was the mucous plug.<br><br>

lost my plug a few days before labor with both my kids but the plug was the color of cotton no pink or red at all. when i was in labor with ds i know i had it well into labor as the mw mentioned she saw it.

I only had bloody show halfway through my labor (induced)....actually it was probably more toward the end of labor.

I was dilated to around 5 centimeters days before labor began, and I wasn't aware of any blood at all until Meg was out! I may be unaware of some bleeding during pushing, but until my water broke at the end of transition, there was certainly no blood. I didn't even notice an increase in discharge in the final weeks, and believe me, I was looking for it!<br><br>
