Does lanolizing make your wool softer?

Specifically talking soakers?

Just asking b/c I have a merino soaker that isn't as soft as the newly soaker shorts I got today.

Is this b/c I have never lanolized my soaker? I use Euculan & my lanolin wool bars so anyone know why?

I would say yes! It's not going to make some wools super soft, but it will soften it some. It may take several lanolizing washes!
I would have to say yes. The wool absorbs the lanolin. I love how soft my hands feel after I lanolize my wool. I haven't done it yet, but I am going to lanolize my feet. Maybe for Father's Day.

What an idea! To lanolize your feet! Maybe I'll do my feet & my DH's on Father's Day Thanks Kim

Well I have the mystery figured out with help from the maker! Why the big difference~because the body of the soaker I have isn't Merino but the waist & leg bands are I guess (here I thought it was all Merino b/c I bought it off TP as Merino I now know better!)

Now I finally have Merino~LOL

Definitely.

My tinker soaker was kinda umm, scratchy, when I got it from the TP. It had been lanolized once before.. I lanolized it 3x, and now it is soooo much softer. Still not soft, but not scratchy anymore!!
