The reason I ask is because there's a really cute bag in one of the knitting mags I picked up this weekend. The bag is knitted and then embroidered and then the whole thing is felted. There's an auction on ebay right now for a bunch of needlepoint wool (100%) and I'm thinking about getting it for that project.

Any advice? I've never felted anything before.

Well- it wouldn't matter unless your needlepoint stitches were enormous and got all out of wack from the shrinking of the other wool... if it doesn't shrink at the same rate- it would be probably be looser... but I think that most probably everything would stay snug and meld together nicely. I think it would only be a disaster if the needlepoint wool shrunk at a faster rate than the other wool- then stuff would get bunched up and sad. Can you do a test swatch?

I will most likely do a test swatch before I make the bag, but I have to wait on it to come in first .
