I just started using fuzzibunz with the microterry inserts (plus a few cpfs and bumpy covers) earlier this week for my toddler and newborn.

I'm washing dipes every 2 days. I put EVERYTHING into a cold rinse and prewash, then wash on hot with Arm & Hammer free & clear, plus a few drops of tea tree oil. I do a cold double rinse, then hang outside to dry or toss in dryer, depending on weather.

Does tea tree oil cause buildup on the fleece? Does this wash routine sound ok to you?

Hi,

I have been using Fuzzi Bunz almost exclusively for 10 months now. I add tea tree oil occasionally and have never had any problems with build up.

Your wash routine sounds fine. I can't vouch for the Arm & Hammer though because I use Wisk. My diapers were smelling a little "off" lately so I increased my amount of detergent (I know, that goes against what everyone else says), but I think my water is a little harder than I thought. Now they smell fine. I also occasionally rinse 3 times instead of 2.

I use Wisk because a lot of the recommended detergents are not readily available in Canada.
