My ds1 does, 3y and 3 mo.
And he asks for it sooooooooooooo often. I tandemnurse. ds2 is 5 mo amd he nurses less at night!

Ds1 also has multiple meltdown during the day, is tired cause he wakes4 times at night, does not nap and melts down every day, resulting in bad night, etc etc.

What can I do??

Do any 3y still nurse that often??

My ds is almost 3 and he would nurse all day if I let him, I'm tandem him and my 1 yo dd. He asks for nursing ALOT. I night weaned when he was just over a year, I was exhausted and I knew with a new baby on the way I did not want to be nursing both at night. It was difficult but my dh was great and took over with my ds at night for about a week. The following 2 weeks my dh would take care of my ds in the early morning hours when he wanted nursing. Do you have someone who can help you with night weaning? That would be my first suggestion.

During the day I just work on limits - you can nurse until the count of 10, after your snack, when it is time for nap, etc.

my 3 1/2 y.o. ds2 nurses more than my 7 mo. old ds3 at night too, it's annoying and i'm tired.

My 3.5 yr old only nurses at night and in the am when he wakes, sometimes he will wake my 2 or 3 times in the night, but most not (recently). He will sometimes ask in the middle of the day to nurse, I gently remind him that we nurse at night in bed, he sometimes will suggest we go lay down, lol!

He doesn't see any other children nurse (he is my youngest) so no one to copy. I think sometimes he is just bored or thirsty...
