since the weather has been getting warmer, I notice that DD seems to be perpetually sweaty and hot to the touch, even when she is sleeping on the bed next to me. even when i seem to be warm but still comfortable.

is this common?

Yes! My DS is much warmer than I am. I always figured he was just a sweaty babe.

My Babe always seems warmer then I do! I'll be in a sweatshirt and he'll be cozy warm in a t-shirt! I call him my little space heater.

Sleeping between my two furnaces DD and DH is getting really hot! And I'm not hot usually.

Yes! Two in a row now. The worst part is the little old ladies in the grocery store who can spot us a mile away and beeline over to ask "isn't that baby cold?" and lecture me about hats and socks. I tell them I like tiny socks, too, but then they would BURST INTO FLAMES.

Yes. I can't put her to bed in a full sleeper or I get to feel the gross sweaty back when I pull her in to nurse at night.

Yep... which makes the swaddling/co-sleeping thing difficult. He won't sleep at night unless swaddled. Sometimes he will sleep in the co-sleeper, but other times he justs wants to sleep by mama and daddy, so I let him. Sometimes we both fall asleep - boob in mouth. I worry because he wakes up with his little head drenched, but I figure at least he is sleeping. If I didn't swaddle and co-sleep, I'd be pacing while holding him all night long.

His daddy is a sweaty man and was a legendarily sweaty baby... this somehow doesn't stop his Grandma from trying to cover him with a blanket every chance she gets. :

DD1 is/was hotter than me. I always put one less layer on her. DD2 is colder than me, so she always gets one more layer than me. I'm sure people must think I'm the craziest mom when have one in short sleeves and the other wearing a coat. : My FIL would consistently tell me that dd1 was cold and needed more clothes. Then one day he was carrying her back from the park doing his usual "You must be cold, Grandpa warm you up" while wrapping his jacket around her. DD1 told him she wasn't cold and asked him to put her down.
