my mom pointed out a lump under each of my 7 mo dd's nipples she felt when she picked her up. are these glands? is this normal?

cool thanks. i thought since the size of them was uniform it was prob okay, wanted to make sure. i thought those came later, closer to puberty?

there are puberty-related breast buds too. What happens is that babies and small children (up to 2 or so) have quite active sex steroid hormone release. Then they essentially stop secreting sex hormones for a few years, until puberty begins. So these breast buds will regress, only to reappear! The disappearing-reappearing boobies trick! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">
