My dog had an accident and it stinks to high heaven STILL I used the carpet steamer and it still stinks. Anything I can use to get the stink out of thick ultra plush carpet (chemical free as possible)

Tea tree oil is great to disinfect and deodorize. It will get out the urine smell. Lavender and tea tree oil diluted will work too. It all depends on your carpet. Test a tiny bit first.

there's a product called Equalizer - it's veterinary strength and intended for removing organic stains and smells from small mammals. i use it on cat pee. i can't remember where i got it from though.

Yep... It probably has enzymes that "eat" the urine naturally (as opposed to just covering up the smell). You can get it in the pet aisle at any super mega retailer or at pet stores. Just spray and let it sit on the soiled area. Eventually rinse with some clear water.
I have used the stuff on cat urine (stinky!) and it works really well. Just follow the instructions.
