My son turned 9 in October. In August he could not read. 3 months later he was able to read at a 3rd grade level. He is now reading the Spiderwick books by himself. I would like to figure out what level he is reading at. The dolche lists only go to 3rd grade. Does anyone have any idea how I can evaluate him. I know it really doesn't matter but I would like to know. I have an Aunt that was HORRIFIED that he wasn't reading in July.
