The ultrasound at 22 weeks showed that the baby's head is long, and this type of "variation"is called dolichocephaly.<br>
Has anyone had a child diagnosed with this?<br>
The info on some websites has me scared about the baby having problems, possible retardation and the need for cranial surgery.<br>
The midwife seemed to think everything was fine. She said the ultrasound tech would have recommended we come in for another ultrasound if there was something wrong. It's hard for me to accept all this, when I don't really know that much about it.

I've had a m/c and I approached this pg differently, including refusing u/s. There are *so many false positive with them! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug"> I'm *sure all is well!
