DD is 8 days old, and makes the most adorable little snorting noises when she nurses. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">

I'm also mom to a 6.5 month old and for the past few weeks when she's nursing she will pause once or twice to look up at me and smile -- sometimes even giggle. It is the best feeling in the world to get that look of absolute love (returned 10 times over, of course)!

My dd does this too. And then when the boob comes out, she reaches out with both of her sweet little arms and grabs onto it like it's a favorite stuffed animal. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">

Just had to add to this thread...<br><br>
When I lay my 4.5mo dd on my lap to get "situated" to nurse, she opens her mouth and tries to lift her head up in a mini-crunch like she just can't wait another second!<br>
At feeding time, she's now my "baby bird!" <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">

DD is 7 weeks old and I love when I lay next to her she can turn to face me and latch on. She even knows to hold them and squeeze so she gets milk out faster. It's amazing how fast they learn!!!

DS (6mo) squirms until he sees the shirt go up. But if I don't get the bra up in time, he's licking the bra. DD as this age would literally snort like a pig when going for the nipple LOL

I think it's cute how they learn to anticipate that lifting the shirt and unhooking the bra means milks are coming! DS does that too and it's so sweet. It's hilarious how when he starts waking up the first thing he does is turn his head first one way then the other looking for a boob. Too cute!<br>
And doesn't their breath smell heavenly after nursing?

Oh, I love baby breath! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love"> Before having kids, I wondered why anyone would want to call flowers "babys breath" because that's just so gross. Now I know! A couple days ago, I was like "DH, you've gotta come smell DS's breath!" I got that "you're crazy" look, but he did agree it was nice. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">

I love it how if my DD is upset, she quiets right down when she just hears the click of my bra unhooking. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">

my 6 week old will stare at my nipple, make happy little "eh eh" noises with her lips poised and ready and then DIVE in to nurse. As soon as she's latched on, she brings her fists up to her face and "bears down" for the duration of the feeding
