Dora toy w/ a wierd electronic message??

My BIL bought the Mattell electronic Dora backpack for Hailey's last birthday.
It is sold at both Walmart and TRU.
It came in a package with a camera, binoculars, map etc.
It is a hard plastic talking backpack that says various messages and sings his song when you press his mouth.

Well, one of the messages is:

Let's look at the coffin! (then says the word in Spanish.)
The spanish word they use is la brouhoula.
As far as I can tell (and I know my spelling is wrong)--that's not the spanish word for coffin.
Yet everyone I have let listen have said Yup, it's saying coffin.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Brujula means compass in Spanish. I am betting that's what it is...coffin=compass.

I think the spanish word is brujula (accent on 1st u), which means compass.

So that word you think sounds like "coffin" is "compass". Which makes a lot more sense.

Don't have that particular toy, but DD does have a stuffed cat that recites a poem about going to the zoo. The end of the poem is rather unintelligible:

"Let's go to the zoo.
There's lots to see and do.
Lions, tigers, elephants, and bears.
And even a monkey with some (unintelligible word) to share.

We're not sure about the "to share" at the end, either.

We have the same toy and it says lets look at the compass. Unless you got a 'bad' batch of them. Ds1 LOVES that toy.

Sometimes there are sick people at the factory who change things like that. I would call the company, play it for them, and request a replacement. My FIL manages a Walmart and has had toys come in saying many a bad word, whole batches of them, that they pull immediately and return to the manufacturer.

We've never been sure if it was "bananas" or maybe "balloons", or something else.

i'm glad to know that.i took care of a little boy who had a talking teletubby and i swore that thing was calling me a bitch.i thought i must just be crazy but maybe it was someboy's joke.

Thats not *really* funny, but it is funny. "Elmo loves you! But your mom is a bitch." I can practically hear it.

Im shocked people would honestly do that to toys they know are going in children's hands! I'm naive but that really mortifies me. Ick.
