I have a friend who's daughter in law is due the end of July. Her son will be deploying next week and her DIL has no support system in place for the birth of their first child. I have been trying to help my friend find a doula for her DIL, but haven't had any luck. It breaks my heart to think of her giving birth alone, with all family 6+ hours away. Does anyone know of any doulas in the area? I would love to help this family if I can. Thank you!

contact Operation Special Delivery (type that into your browser, I can't remember the web address). They will provide a doula free of charge for wives of active duty servicemen. If you can't find them, contact me at <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a> and I'll get in touch with the woman in charge for you.

She can also check the CAPPA website, when I was looking for my SIL, I remember seeing a Watertown listing. <a href="http://www.cappa.net/members.asp" target="_blank">http://www.cappa.net/members.asp</a><br>
Definitely check out operation special delivery, too. <a href="http://www.operationspecialdelivery.com/contact.htm" target="_blank">http://www.operationspecialdelivery.com/contact.htm</a><br>
Hope she does get some help!
