Hi all,<br>
I'm trying to help a friend find a doula who works in the greater Philadelphia area. She is planning to deliver at Abington Hospital. She is really hoping for a sucessful VBAC and needs all the support she can get.<br>

That would be a good place to start.<br><br>
If someone in the Phila area is unable to afford a private doula (though many have sliding scales, affordable rates, etc), there is a volunteer organization called the Philadelphia Alliance for Labor Support, which can help connect pregnant mamas with doulas-in-training or experienced doulas who volunteer their services.<br><br>

From what I've heard, Abington is not the greatest hospital in the world for having a successful VBAC. I don't have her number, but I loved Tammy Arbeter. She works with the lactation center at Pennsylvania Hospital and as a doula. She's wonderful.<br><br>

I had a successful VBAC w/ a VERY flexable DR at Doylestown Hospital... The DR is located in Doylestown , about 25 mins from Abbington Hosp his name is Dr Moskoff... I am know he is in the yellow pages, and offers free consults...<br><br>
