this might be to late for me, but when interviewing a doula what should i ask her? i'm meeting one in about two hours, and do not what we should talk about.<br>
any help would be appreciated.

I'm also looking for a doula. I would ask about experience, what they bring to the birth, what their price includes in terms of prenatal visits/postpartum, and if they have any referrals.<br><br>
Personally, I think the most important things for me are<br>
1) whether I feel confident about their ability to be an effective doula, and<br>
2) whether I feel comfortable with the person.

Ask her how she sees her role in the birth setting? For instance, it made me feel good hearing how my doula tends to get herself in between the mother and any pushy/negative energy staff, and what kinds of things she says (very noncombative, sort of playing dumb/spinning everything positively) if anyone seems about to say something about positions/noises/any of the "unusal" things we'll likely be doing...
