Tell me all the bad, horrible stuff you can about them.

Dh and I are quite drawn to them. Everything we read so far we like - especially that spunky attitude. But I'd love to hear some real experiences with them. Any mamas with doxies?

We are on our second doxie, and LOVE them. If you click on the link in my siggy, there is a pic of my Dobbie. : Not a great one, but still a pic. Both of ours have been needy dogs, they need lots of attention, but they haven't been doggy dogs, not into playing with balls, although both loved stuffed animals. they like to burrow, if there is clothing or a blanket on the couch, then they make a little nest in it.Our first doxie died last fall, so we just have the one right now. He loves walks, and likes to know what is going on, outside, inside. Both of our's have been barky, but only AT things, not random barking. I'm really working with Dobbie right now on that issue, We just moved into a new house and our house backs up to open space where there is a walking trail. Dobbie's new fav activity is to watch all the people and dogs walking by and bark at them. Very friendly dogs, Dobbie loves DC and will lick them all over. We knew after our first doxie that we were doxie people, they are are great dogs. Both of ours have thought themselves to be lap dogs, if there is an open lap, they want to climb on it and be petted. Best wishes, I hope you love one as much as I do.
