I got a new OB/GYN this time around. I decided that the last one didn't do enough testing after we lost the baby to find out what happened. It could have just been a fluke - but it also could have been low progesterone etc. I could have learned important information and been able to correct the issue early on this pregnancy.
Anyway - I spoke to him about my concerns with testing and making sure to check everything. I also spoke to him about my symptoms and my anxiety over not having a positive urine test.
He said my symptoms sound very much like I am pregnant but that we would do an HCG test first, and along with that he drew my progesterone and thyroid to make sure everything looked good. I should know in about 24 hours what the results are. Part of me is so damned sure I am pregnant - afterall I haven't had these symptoms except when pregnant. But a small part of me wonders if I am not - if Im going to feel like a fool.
)
Today I do have a new symptom though. My breasts themselves are not sore - but the muscles around them are - like on the sides of them and the top. The doc says this is what is meant by tender breasts....I was confused I thought it meant that the actual breast hurt...plus I had stinging last pregnancy.
I also got an evap line...before the test had time to evaporate. Which is odd since the last few days I tested I never got a evap line.
But I guess even if I am not preggo at least I found a wonderful doctor! He specializes in fertility too!

Your new doctor sounds great! I don't want to get your hopes up... but they way your describe your sore breasts is very similar to how my breasts were sore in early pregnancy. It was my first sign that I was pregnant... and the sides of them hurt -- even up into my armpit a bit.

Even if you aren't pg this cycle (which I sort of think you are) at least you now have a great doctor who is listening to you and addressing your concerns. And as far as being embarrassed if you aren't... trust me, the doctor won't be judging you in that way. Women wondering whether or not they are pregnant is a pretty mundane occurrence in their world.

I hope you get great news soon!!!

My sore breasts started at 15 dpo (i tested at 14 dpo though, so i already knew). I generally don't get sore breasts before AF. I honestly didn't have many symptoms. I was a little nauseous at 14 dpo, but I got nauseous in the last cycle and wound up not being pregnant. The only thing different I noticed this cycle was that soon after ovulation I was getting quite a few skin breakouts, and had a sensitive digestive system. I was also very gassy (much to my DH's chagrin). I stopped checking my cervix soon after O (I'm not really good at guaging that) but it generally just feels firm and low.

Best of luck to you - I really hope you get your BFP!!!!
