I once went to the lake with friends for a weekend, and the only toiletries i brought were toothpaste and a big bottle of peppermint Dr. Bronners. 3 chicks used it all weekend for shampoo, body wash, face wash, dish soap, hand soap, clothing soap, cleaning soap, you name it. I didnt gargle with it; i draw the line somewhere

Nowadays i ise the Eucalyptus for cleaning, and the lavender as handsoap in kitchen and bath.
I do recomment diluting for direct skin contact.

For a face scrub, i just use plain baking soda on damp skin. the water on your skin will hold it on, and then just scrub.I have found that mixing anything into the baking soda will cause the soda to dissolve.
You can also add a tsp of baking soda to shampoo to take off buildup.
I love baking soda so much i keep a box on the back of my toilet.

Eucalyptus is kinda irritating for faces. I wouldn't wash my face with it, especially if I were already using baking soda. Once in a while I mix a single drop of lavender Dr B's with my baking soda for my face. A drop, literally.

It is *not* tear-free for babies, and eucalyptus would probably tingle their little skins something terrible (especially near the bum).

OTOH, a bathroom or kitchen scrubbed with eucalyptus Dr B's comes pretty close to this atheist's idea of heaven

Yes, I agree that the eucalyptus will be too strong for babies skin, even the peppermint is tough on sensitive parts. The lavendar or aloe would be nice for that. I bet the eucalyptus would feel great as a hair wash, and definately for house cleaning. There are some good recipes in the sticky at the top of this forum. I have found when concocting home recipes, there is a lot of trial & error, so mix small batches. But it is definately fun and great when you find the perfect mix.

I use my Dr Bronners as hand soap in the bathrooms. I put it in a spray bottle so it only dispenses a tiny bit since it is so concentrated. Just don't use a bottle that had water in it as it gets cloudy and looks contaminated.

I love Dr. Bronner's!! I have collected all of the different flavors, then when I am inspired to clean I can decide what kind of mood I am in, lavender, eucalyptus... When it comes to cleaning my kids, I use the unscented baby-mild (slightly diluted) and we have never had any problems. I don't wash their hair with it, so I'm not sure about the tear potential.
