Anyone else been having any dreams about what your baby looks like?

I had a dream last night about the birth & what my baby looks like (had a few in early pregnancy, but this was the first one that showed my baby as a boy instead of a girl). The birth went perfect. It was a waterbirth, and I got to catch my baby. He didn't cry at first because he was so content. Breastfeeding got off to a good start right away. However, he looked like a baby chimpanzee. Everyone thought I had a baby chimpanzee rather than him being my human baby boy.

I had one the other night but it was really strange. I gave birth in the hospital and the birth wasn't very difficult--which was good because neither my husband nor the midwife showed up. So then I was sitting on the floor of my hospital room wondering what to do with my baby. I think a nurse must have cut the cord and cleaned her up, but then she went away and no one was coming to help me. They hadn't given me a blanket or a diaper or anything. Then I thought maybe I should try to feed her, but neither she nor I seemed to have any idea how to do it, and of course there was no one to help me. Finally my brother showed up to keep me company. Oh, and since the question was about how the baby looked, she was human anyway, but she was pretty ugly. I wasn't even sure if she was actually a girl. (You'd think, with no diaper, I should have been able to figure that one out anyway.)

I've had a couple dreams recently where I already have a baby several months old (this is my first) and I am already pregnant with another baby! My LO in the dream is a cute little girl, but I don't remember what exactly she looks like. I figured I was having these dreams because I've been so curious if the baby will get my green eyes or my husband's dark brown. His kids from previous relationships got his eyes, but I don't know what color their mom had. I don't know why I'm so curious, he's so convinced she'll have his eyes.

Not with this pregnancy, and not dreams.. but I used to try and get into like a meditative state and try to see what my future kids look like. I used to be positive that my first would be a boy, so I'd focus on a boy. I could occasionally get very fleeting glimpses of what he looks like as a toddler. I can bring up the memory of those glimpses and "remember" at will, but I've only gotten a really clear picture a couple times. One of those times, I was interrupted by what seemed like a voice shouting in my head "ZACHARY!" to the point it jolted me out of my little trance. So I was convinced that was what his name was. (which I'm no longer convinced of)

Now here's where it gets really wild. I was sitting there thinking about that. Seeing the spelling in my head. Zackary/Zachary. And I was thinking with a k because it just seems more phonetic. Then I thought, "but whoever the dad ends up being will probably prefer with an H". So get this. I texted dh (who I think I might not have even been actually dating yet at the time..but who I wanted to be dating

) and told him about how I knew what my future son would look like and heard that his name would be Zackary. His reply? "I think its supposed to be Zachary. But anyway, thats really cool" ..and THAT is when I KNEW I was to marry that man

And then later, after we were dating for a while, I was staring at him..and I realized, omg, the little boy I "see".. he looks like HIM! And I had his image in my mind since before I even met dh.

Thats such a cute story Rachel! Will you consider naming a boy Zachary/Zackary or have you ruled it out?

I have not had any dreams about the baby but I am doing hypnobabies and they always tell you to go to a special place and be there with your baby. So I envision the baby everytime I do a hypnosis session. I always see a little girl with lots of curly hair, like my dd but with no dimple in her chin (me and my dd have one). Shes also really alert and has light grey eyes. Which is weird to me, my mom said I had light grey eyes when I was born and then they changed to light brown. My dad has green eyes so they thought my eyes would turn green. Anyway my dh has dark brown eyes and so does my dd so I am pretty sure the chances that this baby will have a lighter color eyes are pretty slim, but thats what I see. I just hope she doesn't look like a little monkey like I did, seriously I had a tiny head and huge ears, my first dd didn't, thank god but it could still happen, lol.

If Allie were a boy she would have been Zack, but thats not even on our list this time, go figure. I kinda go back and forth between wondering if I'm not honoring the name he's "supposed" to have, and wondering if maybe the name thing was just a way for me to *know* dh and I were supposed to be together. Although now that I think of it, it could be a middle name.

I haven't had any baby dreams. the closest I've had is a dream where I paged my midwife because I was having bright red bleeding, and she was like "Oh that's fine." And I was like

Any dream I have, they baby always has blonde curly hair, which i don't get because while I do have blonde hair currently, it's not natural..lol And sweetie has brown hair....

The other day, I gave birth to a blonde curly toddler girl. And it didn't even hurt. LOL

I'm not trusting my dreams right now. But I told Sweetie that it would be really crazy if the ultrasound was wrong and we're having a girl...Because I have insane amounts of boy clothes, and I've gone nuts totally decorating the baby's room with football stuff....She'll just have to be a tomboy. LOL

I had a dream a few nights back about the birth - it was totally easy and peaceful, the room was flooded with sunlight. DP was there and caught her, she latched on right away and was SO cute - but yeah, she was as big as a eight month old baby!

Only dream i've really had was back in teh very beginning, I was out in the woods picking stuff ith the 3 youngest, current youngest 2 plus this one, this one was probably 1 1/2-2 .. all 3 were running ahead of me to meet the bus with other kids coming home(our house is maybe 50feet back from teh road and no woods between..anyway.. ) there were 3 blonde curly haired girls.. the newest one's name was Gideon.. the name we have for a boy... talk about mixed messages lol

I dont think i've had any others... i think i'm mostly in denial still.. i'm probably going to have a breakdown when i realize theres a baby
