We've used one piece sailor suits for all of our kids. We got a lot of them at H & M (Hennes and Mauritz) - check on EBay or ebay.co.uk (UK Ebay). Sailor suits are adorable and would be quite appropriate!! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

They also have lot of cute pants that you could make dressy outfits out of. Pricey, but some sales stuff isn't too bad.<br><br><a href="http://www.gymboree.com/shop/asst_department.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=750991&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=4138479&bmUID=1177037468371" target="_blank">Gymboree</a> has some, too.

If you don't like dresses, this might not be your style, but I love The Bailey Boys. They are pricey, but you can get better deals on ebay. Something like this.<br><br><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-BAILEY-BOYS-summer-bubble-18-m-FIREWORKS-July-4_W0QQitemZ170103101533QQihZ007QQcategoryZ57849QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-BAILEY-BOYS-...QQcmdZViewItem</a>

Look for pretty rompers and try to coordinate a little bonnet to match. It's amazing how a frill around the face dresses up the whole outfit, and they keep the sun off. (I assume you have a girl)

I'd try ebay or second hand stores. I consider anything that isn't jersey knit (t-shirt material) to be dressy. Dresses really just don't seem to be practical for us/my baby; every time I pick her up, shift how I"m holding her, the dress just gets in the way.
