So, I had this routine of changing DD regularly, almost on the hour and definitely no more than 2 hours. I just don't like her sitting around in a wet diaper if I can help it.

Lately though, I keep finding her diaper dry. I don't think she's dehydrated, she's got her daily poopy diaper. I think she's just learning to hold it a little longer than before.

So, how do I change the routine? Have you had to change your diaper changing routine?

Does this make EC a more likely thing? I had to back off because she had started to cry every time I brought her near the potty. I think she could sense how tense I was about her going.

Babies can sense that sort of thing.. I would back off on it a little.. or make it more comfortable for her if you want to continue the EC.. As babies get older they will hold more in their bladder and go less... As long as she is still voiding some I would not worry. With my boys I check them frequently and change them as soon as I notice they are wet. We do not have a routine per se, but it usually ends up every 45 minutes to 2.5 hours.

funny... it never would have occurred to me to change diapers on the hour!! or on any kind of schedule!! i change him as ssoon as he poops (it is VERY obvious), and if he fusses otherwise, i check to see if he's wet.
