Dry Mouth

I was so freaked out that I was getting Gestational Diabetes early and that the dry mouth was a sign of that.

The weird thing was is that I wasn't really thirsty and I would drink so much water to make my dry mouth go away that it would make my tummy hurt or make me feel really sick.
I wasn't peeing it out all the time like a diabetic would.

So I did a search on the net and found that the hormonal shift can cause dry mouth. No one ever told me this and I've never heard of it before. I think I need some better books.

Anyone else have dry mouth? How do you deal with it? And since I found this out, now I'm going to go have a few candies while there's still time.

Mindy,
You just reminded me that I have a diabetes test today. I hope the 2 bowls of raisin bran and juice were okay!

I don't know about dry mouth, but I don't recall it in Mothering 's "Birthing naturally" or "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth." Hope you get answers!
