Looking at photos of exczema and what my son recently got appears like dry patches on his legs and not exczema. Is this something to consider related to allergies? I looked at pictures of mild exczema and it looks waaay milder than that.

my kids' eczema in its milder form seems like a "dry patch." With continued exposure to their allergens it get worse and worse and looks more like eczema (our type is the dry, peeling variety, with weepy skin underneath; that's at its very worst).

My son's skin was just very dry and rough -- it never looked like full-on eczema. We found out he was intolerant to dairy and eggs and after we removed them from his diet his skin started clearing up. I noticed a difference within a week. HTH!

We already eliminate milk/soy for his "non ige allergy"<br>
I noticed a couple tiny dry patches on his legs after his bath last night and since I'm always thinking intolerances I was worried. We have been slowly adding solids and ended our 7 day trial of banana yesterday, maybe banana is the culprit. Its confusing!

Does he consume eggs? I think eggs are really the culprit for my son.
