Is it just me, or does it seem totally irresponsible to set the oven at 150 degrees for 24 hours in the middle of a 100 degree day in Texas?

Right now I have my post-soaked nuts in the oven with the light on, but I was wondering if I could just put them out in the sun tomorrow?

If they need to be hotter than 100 degrees I could put them on foil - or something? I don't know. Would that work? How do the rest of you dry out nuts?

I turn the oven on convection for a few minutes at a time, then turn it off for a while. I have a remote oven thermometer. I would set it to alert me when the oven reached a certain temperature, then after I turned it off I would keep an eye on it until the oven dropped below a certain temp. That way it was only on a few minutes each hour.
