absolutely normal! My dd had 5 teeth until well, last week, and then 4 came in and 2 more are on the way!!! wowzer is all I have to say! I think it is alot genetic, and then I was just reading about rodolf steiner and how they say teeth are an indication of the spirit coming down to the earth and if the come in slow than it means the child has had a slow and graceful entry to the world....

My 20 month old has 6 teeth (#6 came through this week!). #1 came at 13.5 months. They'll all come eventually. I figure the less time they are in her mouth, the less chance there is for them to have problems!

My 14 month old got his first tooth at 8 months, and within a month and a half had 6 teeth.

Nothing happening for the past 4.5 months. :

Dov'sMom you have my DD! She got 6 teeth in 6 weeks starting at 8mo. She's now 13mo and there's been nothing since.

DS had, I think, 10 teeth by this age. Another baby in DD's signing class, 15mo, is working on his molars after having all his other teeth ages ago.

It's all normal!

I wouldn't worry, 16 months is when my dd got her 1st tooth, and at 26 months she has 10, she is just a slow tooth grower. no biggie.

My now 12yo dd didn't even get her first tooth until she was 13 mos old!

I was seriously getting worried that maybe there weren't any coming and she'd be some dentistry school textbook case for the invention of baby and childhood dentures!

But they came in just fine, and she has nice teeth! I'm sure your kiddo is fine!

My 15 month old got her first two teeth at 13 months and nothing more since. She has 1 top tooth that is looking like it will come in soon - but it is definitely taking its sweet time!

I think my ds only had one at 16 months. He had this one little tooth on the bottom and didn't get anymore for 4 months.

DD's teeth certainly haven't followed any rules She got the two bottom teeth first (about a month apart) starting at about 10 months. Then the top two about a month later a few weeks apart. Then she started working on the top incisors. She cut one, though it's still a half tooth. Then over Christmas she cut two molars on top! Since then she's cut another molar on the bottom, another 1/2 tooth. So DD has 6 full teeth and 2 half teeth at 16 months. I keep expecting the other incisor to cut, but nothing so far.
