I'm new to the whole babywearing thing, he used to love being cradled in the sling, but here recently he hates it. He likes to sit facing out or on my hip, but he refuses to be cradled. He's 4 months old is that just a developmental phase? Do all babies go through this as they get older and bigger? TIA!

None of my children liked the cradle position, even when they were not in a sling, lol. Just hated having to lay down like that for some reason. But, I hear that that is common. So, maybe just use the other positions you mentioned. Your lucky you got him to use the cradle position for that long...babies look sooo cute and well cuddled in that position in a sling!

Thanks so much for the reply! About the only time I can get him to let me cradle him in the swing is when he's super tired if we're at the mall or something. I'm going to miss snuggling with him

, but the foward facing is okay.

Aly never liked slings, but LOVES Mei Tai's!!! She'll put up with facing forward in the sling but seems aggravated by being so bunched up. I think its normal.
